Entitlement, delusions and denials

Unless there is incontrovertible evidence that the above video of B.A.T’s screening was doctored (which seems very unlikely), I can not for the life of me understand how anyone who wants Nigeria to prosper and not become a laughing stock among nations would still insist that this man should be our president.

Cognitive and health issues that may come with old age is not a crime by any imagination. It is however immoral to not mind dragging a sinking nation deeper still just because you have an unfulfilled fantasy to be president.

Think for a second, if you were to board a plane and got told the pilot is suffering from severe Alzheimer’s and other life threatening co-morbidities, I’m guessing you won’t insist on getting on the flight because he is from your tribe, of your faith, or because he has bribed you to overlook his obvious difficulties. If you do ignore these warning signs, then at best you’d end up in a different destination, at worst you’d crash and burn.

Nigeria is burning already. Let us leave a little to salvage for our unborn children.
